Plessey selects microLED technology for world’s first AR/VR glasses

At CES 2019 (Las Vegas, 8 to 11 January 2019), Plessey will offer visitors to its booth the chance to experience what it believes is the world’s first augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) glasses powered by microLEDs. The Vuzix smart glasses will be demonstrated at CES 2019. Vuzix is the first company to use Plessey’s microLEDs for AR applications.

The Secora Pay W for Smart Payment Accessories (SPA) combines an EMV chip with the card OS, payment applet as well as the antenna directly on tape. The turnkey solution allows card vendors, device manufacturers, financial institutions or event organisers to quickly and cost-efficiently introduce fashion accessories for payment and even access, says Infineon.
