Reverse blocking load switch is energy-efficient for consumer goods
Launched at APEC Power Conference, the SC33020H load switch is just 0.9 x 0.9mm and housed in a four-bump CSP (chip scale package) and what the company describes as industry leading Ron of just 32m‡.
Tri-axis accelerometers can be used in wearables
MEMS manufacturer Kionix, part of the Rohm group, claims that its KX112 and KXCJB are the industry’s first thin, functional tri-axis accelerometers.
Software library broadens for wearables
Algorithms have been added to the SenseMe Sensor Algorithm Library, by QuickLogic. The algorithms, coupled with the company’s sensor hub silicon platforms and reference designs, enable designers of smartphone and wearable devices to expand device capabilities and features. This dramatically shortens design time, promises the company, while lowering risk, and improve battery life and data accuracy.
