Fingerprint sensor authenticates via smartphone’s display
Believed to be the largest surface fingerprint-on-display (FoD) module, designed with organic printed electronics, a four-finger authentication module by Isorg will be demonstrated at CES 2020.
Panasonic’s Bluetooth dual-mode module is available from Rutronik UK
The Panasonic HCI (host controlled interface) Bluetooth RF module, the PAN1326C2, is based on Texas Instruments’ CC2564C dual-mode Bluetooth controller that combines Bluetooth Basic Rate (BR), enhanced data rate (EDR) and Low Energy (LE). The module supports up to 10 Bluetooth LE connections simultaneously using independent buffering for LE without affecting the BR or EDR performance. The module is now available at Rutronik UK.
Renesas provides support for Bluetooth 5 security
Support including long range and mesh network and single chip system control and wireless communication are provided by Renesas Electronics with the introduction of the RX23W a 32-bit microcontroller featuring Bluetooth 5.0 for IoT endpoint devices.
