It is designed for applications like home automation, mesh network gateway, industrial wireless control, sensor networks, wearable electronics, WiFi location-aware devices, security ID tags and WiFi position system beacons. Iris enables automatic connection to the cloud and mobile apps, without network configuration. The device is certified worldwide and supports OTA (Over The Air) upgrades of module and client firmware. The shielded, small size module has an embedded on-board PCB-antenna with a gain of 2.0dBi. Low power operation makes it suitable for battery-operated applications. There is a mobile software development kit for multiple platforms, such as iOS and Android.
