Ring the lifestyle changes with Luna ring

Noise, a smart wearable technology-accessory company and India’s number one smartwatch company (source: IDC Worldwide Wearable Device Tracker). It has partnered with low power semiconductor company, Ambiq to produce the Luna Ring featuring Ambiq’s Apollo3 Blue Plus SoC.

Luna Ring reports on three core scores for cognitive functioning, said Ambiq, namely sleep, readiness and activity. A major consideration in the design of the ring was power consumption, as the device was designed to seamlessly integrate into users’ lives. The Apollo3 Blue Plus SoC offers energy efficiency, compute performance, and robust storage, said Ambiq. The Luna Ring offers precise data tracking and processes this information for valuable insights. In what is claimed to be an industry-first, the Luna Ring can track over 70 metrics, making it one of the most powerful devices to track well-being in the smart ring category, said Ambiq.

It is equipped with advanced sensors (PPG, skin temperature, and three-axis accelerometer) and personalised nudges. The temperature sensor tracks body variations influenced by diet and exercise.

The wearable comes in a lightweight 3mm band width and is made of fighter-jet grade titanium featuring a diamond-like coating and pointing edge for guided wearing.

Apollo3 Blue Plus is built on the proprietary Subthreshold Power-Optimized Technology (SPOT) platform and is Ambiq’s third generation SoC. It has an integrated Bluetooth Low Energy 5.1 for connectivity, turboSPOT for accelerated computing up to 96MHz, and secureSPOT for additional security.

Fumihide Esaka, chairman and CEO at Ambiq, said: “The Luna Ring by Noise, enabled with Ambiq’s Apollo3 Blue Plus, demonstrates that smart wearable devices can be transformative while not compromising performance due to power constraints.”

The Luna Ring app is available subscription-free and offers tailor-made insights into daily activity performance with built-in algorithms for enhanced health tracking. There are seven ring sizes and five colour options, including Stardust Silver, Lunar Black, and Midnight Black, available.

It is available in India today.
