Mouser stocks the Intel Curie module for wearable devices

Distributor Mouser Electronics is making wearable development more accessible, by stocking the Intel Curie module.

The low power module is designed for use in wearable devices, consumer and industrial edge applications. It is powered by the Intel Quark SE 32bit SoC with 384kbytes of flash memory and 80kbytes of SRAM. There is also an integrated DSP sensor hub, a six-axis combination sensor with accelerometer and gyroscope and Bluetooth low energy connectivity. Some models have battery charging through a power management IC (PMIC), and pattern-matching capabilities for optimal analysis of sensor data.

The module is packaged in a small form factor and supported by software that includes the Intel Curie Open Developer Kit (ODK). The software has been created specifically for the module and is designed to increase the speed and ease of development. The Intel Curie platform includes the hardware, firmware, software, documentation, and tools.
