Ear canal headphones exploit Bluetooth 4.2 and Qualcomm apt-X

The Bluetooth in-ear headphones have ear-canal earbuds joined by a cable around the neck for a lightweight design that is compact yet robust, says Sennheiser.

Powered by Sennheiser’s proprietary speaker system, the CX 6.00BT delivers clear, detailed sound with an enhanced bass response. Qualcomm apt-X Low Latency compatibility also enhances gaming or video viewing by keeping the audio transmission in sync with the visuals.

Nan Chen, product manager at Sennheiser, says: “Thanks to the latest wireless technologies you can enjoy this unspoilt audio experience with the flexibility of supremely compact, lightweight and comfortable Bluetooth headphones.”

The headphones’ features include convenient multi-connection capability that enables pairing with up to two devices simultaneously, for example when switching between a phone and computer. The CX 6.00BT has an integrated microphone with cVc noise cancellation technology for crystal-clear calls on-the-go and supports three-way calling. Alongside a three-button remote for controlling music and calls, the headphones provide convenient voice prompts notifying the user of battery status.

Sennheiser has created an around-the-neck cable design that balances and minimises the weight of the angled ergonomic earpieces to ensure that they stay in place. For an optimised fit, a cable divider can be used for adjustment. There are a choice of four sizes of ear adapters to ensure attenuation of ambient noise. Despite its light, 14g, weight, the CX 6.00BT is robust due to the use of durable materials.

Battery life is six hours and charging is fast via USB that can add two hours of battery time in just 10 minutes, says Sennheiser, for the headphones to be fully charged in only 1.5 hours.

Sennheiser was founded in 1945, and manufactures headphones, microphones and wireless transmission systems. It has 20 sales subsidiaries and trading partners and is active in more than 50 countries and operates its own production facilities in Germany, Ireland and the USA.
