The first IC in Nordic Semiconductor’s Wi-Fi product family is the nRF7002 Wi-Fi 6 companion IC. The low power Wi-Fi 6 companion IC provides seamless dual band (2.4 and 5.0GHz) connectivity. The nRF7002 IC can be used with Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF52 and nRF53 series multi-protocol SoCs and the nRF9160 cellular IoT (LTE-M / NB-IoT) system in package (SiP), but can be used in conjunction with non-Nordic host devices.

Panthronics samples PTX30W single chip for NFC wireless battery charging
Fabless semiconductor company Panthronics is sampling the PTX30W, an NFC wireless charging listener circuit, packaged in a space-saving 1.78mm x 1.78mm chip. It is supplied in a compact 3.2mm2 WL-CSP.
TDK adds machine learning IMU to SmartBug
An all-in-one multi-sensor developed by TDK includes the ICM-456xy balanced gyro IMU (inertial measurement unit) and is machine learning enabled – to build, test, and deploy machine learning (ML) models on the IMU. A head tracking solution has been added for TWS (true wireless stereo) and augmented reality (AR) glasses.
Multi-stream audio streaming “revolutionises” sound, says NXP
Wireless listening and hearing is revolutionises with the NXH3675 low power Bluetooth audio, said NXP. It is certified to the Bluetooth 5.3 Low Energy (LE) audio standard and enables multi-stream wireless audio streaming with low power consumption and latency.
