Dual-input power multiplexer ICs shrink and protect

Capable of switching between two different power sources, the TCK32xG power multiplexer IC series are for mobile device charging applications.
The three ICs from Toshiba Electronics Europe are the TCK321G, TCK322G and TCK323G. They are designed for the charging circuits of mobile devices that use dual-input power supply systems, consisting of AC adapters, USB or wireless charging inputs, for example, smartphones, tablets and wearable technology.
Power source is selected through the ICs external signal control and a built-in auto selection mode function which switches sources automatically according to priorities that are programmed in advance. Built in protection features are a reverse blocking circuit and thermal shutdown. There is also an integrated over voltage lockout (OVLO) that exhibits OVLO voltages between 12 and 15V for the different devices. All three ICs are contained in a WCSP type package, measuring 1.9 x 1.9mm, with 0.5mm pitch, featuring a maximum output current of 2A and a maximum input voltage of 36V.
