Nowi unveil energy harvesting PMIC with a cold start feature
Dutch semiconductor company, Nowi, extends its energy harvesting and power management portfolio with the Diatom chipset. The 4.0 x 4.0mm Diatom (NH16D3045) is an energy harvesting PMIC, which has a wide power input range from micro W to mW and a fast MPPT (maximum power point tracking) for efficient energy harvesting.
Evaluation board verifies battery management for the IoT
To verify operation of battery management in electronic devices such as wearables, industrial IoT products, such as smart cards and electronics shelf labels as well as portable devices, Rohm has developed the REFLVBMS001-EVK-001.
Step-down buck converter is for multi-cell batteries
Single stage power conversion in multi-cell battery applications is provided with the MAX77540 step-down buck converter. Examples of use are AR / VR headsets, land mobile radios and digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras. The power-dense MAX77540 buck converter features 94 per cent peak efficiency and wafer level packaging that measures 61 per cent smaller than traditional quad flat no-lead (QFN) packages.
