Contactless wireless charging brings convenience to wearables
To charge low power applications, such as hearing aids and other wearable devices that require resistance to water and dust, Renesas has developed the RAA457100 power receiver IC and a power transmitter IC (the RAA458100). Each includes all the functions needed for wireless charging on a single chip. An evaluation kit is also available.
Mouser stocks SoCs for wearable designs from Dialog
Distributor Mouser Electronics now stocks the SmartBond DA14680 and DA14681 Wearable-on-Chips from Dialog Semiconductor. According to the company, both deliver the industry’s first power management and RF technology single-chip wearable solutions for advanced IoT designs.
Mouser unleashes IDT’s wireless power reference kit
Distributor, Mouser, now stocks IDT’s WP3W-RK wireless power reference kit. The Qi-based transmitter and receiver reference kit integrates wireless charging into compact electronics and targets designs requiring 3W or less, such as smartwatches, headphones, health and fitness trackers and portable medical devices.
