Microchip Technology has introduced its highest-density EEPROM to date, the 25CSM04. The 4Mbit EEPROM is the largest EEPROM available to developers, doubling the 2Mbit density which is currently available.

Renesas Electronics has added the RE01 group of low power, embedded controllers to its RE family. The low power device is based on the company’s silicon-on-thin-buried-oxide (SOTB) process technology and built around the Arm Cortex-M0+ core.
ST adds development board to embed USB Type-C
A USB-IF-certified development board by STMicroelectronics provides a reference for, and is designed to promote reuse and reliable interoperability of, existing USB-C fast chargers and cables with USB Power Delivery (PD) support in a range of products. Target applications include smart speakers, power tools, wearables, robots, gaming controllers, power banks and drones.
Rutronik UK introduces development kit for Nordic’s SoC nRF5340
A preview development kit (PDK) from Nordic Semiconductor is now available at Rutronik UK. Developers can test and evaluate designs based on the dual processor SoC. The nRF5340 supports Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth 5.1 and Bluetooth 5, as well as Bluetooth mesh, Thread, Zigbee, NFC, ANT, 802.15.4 and 2,4GHz proprietary.
