Infineon Technologies has announced it is teaming with Edge Impulse to extend its Tiny Machine Learning-based AI development tools for the PSoC™ 63 Bluetooth® LE microcontroller (MCU). Developers of AI-enabled IoT applications can now also build edge Machine Learning (ML) applications using the Edge Impulse Studio environment for deployment on high-performance, low-power PSoC 63 Bluetooth LE MCUs.

Infineon Technologies today announced that Infineon has acquired the Stockholm-based startup Imagimob AB, a leading platform provider for Machine Learning solutions for edge devices. With this acquisition Infineon advances its position to offer a world-class Machine Learning (ML) solution and significantly complements its AI offerings. Imagimob provides an end-to-end machine learning toolchain that is highly flexible and easy to use with a strong focus on delivering production-grade ML-models. Infineon is acquiring 100% of the company’s shares. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the amount of the transaction.
CEVA acquires Spatial Audio Business from VisiSonics to expand its application software portfolio for embedded systems targeting hearables and other consumer IoT markets
CEVA has announced the acquisition of the RealSpace® 3D Spatial Audio business, technology and patents from VisiSonics Corporation. Based in Maryland, close to CEVA’s sensor fusion R&D development centre, the VisiSonics spatial audio R&D team and software extend the Company’s application software portfolio for embedded systems, bolstering CEVA’s strong market position in hearables, where spatial audio is fast becoming a must-have feature.
