Temperature sensor enables privacy-first health screenings

QuikSense is a cost-effective and scalable temperature solution that integrates with existing hardware which can be tailored for use with laptops, desktops or temperature kiosks, advises IntraEdge.

The company is responsible for Truyo, a privacy compliance platform powered by Intel. The QuikSense proprietary thermal temperature sensor enables businesses to conduct contactless and private health screenings. It can be used with existing hardware, like a laptop or desktop, or Janus, IntraEdge’s self-check temperature kiosk.

It was developed as an alternative, affordable option to manual temperature screenings which are high-touch, inconsistent and unencrypted, says IntraEdge. “We are at the forefront of learning how to achieve temperature accuracy in real world environments,” said Dan Clarke, President at IntraEdge. “QuikSense meets a gap in the market for accurate, usable and secure temperature readings in the context of the pandemic.”

To meet the highest health, privacy and security standards, QuikSense leverages the Truyo Privacy Rights Platform, to power its health check management which protects data collection, encryption and automation.

QuikSense uses a medical-grade sensor that can capture an individual’s temperature by scanning their wrist. Wrist temperatures have been validated by researchers as an equally accurate non-contact alternative to forehead scans. Accuracy is ± 17.5 degrees C / 0.5 degrees F, says IntraEdge.

QuikSense is available now, with shipping times of less than two weeks.

IntraEdge is a technology talent, products, services and training organisation which provides clients with the resources and expertise to enhance business performance through technology.
