Antenova adds embedded antenna for dual-band WLAN
Antenna and RF antenna module manufacturer, Antenova has added a compact dual-band Wi-Fi antenna, the Minuta, and claims it is one of the smallest embedded antennae currently available.
The ceramic antenna measures 1.0 x 0.5 x 0.5mm and has been developed for the 4.9 to 5.9GHz frequency which is less cluttered than the 2.4 to 2.5GHz band and which is claimed to give enhanced performance with less interference.
The Minuta antenna, or part number SRC2W006, operates at both frequency bands and matches the Wi-Fi 802.11a/h/j/n/p/ac standards.
According to Antenova, it allows designers to create a flexible PCB layout, as the Minuta does not need to be positioned on a corner; it can be placed along one of the long edges of a board.
The antenna is suitable for access points and portable devices, and is particularly practical for wearable technology and body-worn devices because it is less susceptible to de-tune when used close to the human body.
Antenova develops integrated antennas and RF products for wireless communication, consumer electronic and wireless machine to machine (M2M) devices.
Antenova’s range of standard antennae and RF modules are suitable for GSM, CDMA, 3G, 4G, LTE, 5G-NR, NB-IoT, GPS, GNSS, WiFi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, LP-WAN, LoRa, Sigfox, Weightless-P and ISM, for M2M and IoT applications.
Antenova provides comprehensive design advice and technical support, including custom antenna design, engineering, integration and test services to ensure the best possible performing antenna solutions for customer devices.
