Digitsole pedals its smart connected insole

Coinciding with the Tour de France 2017, Digitsole, the creator of the connected running insole, Run Profiler, has launched a version for cyclists.

Months of R&D has resulted in the analysis of a new activity for Digitsole’s connected sports insoles. Now, in addition to helping runners follow and improve their runs, the Run Profiler can also allow cyclists to analyse and boost their performances.

The smart sole is connected to the user’s smartphone via Bluetooth, and tracks and analyses cyclists’ movements in 3D and in real-time. It can measure all of the activity’s parameters, pedalling time and angle, cadence, distance and speed. According to Digitsole, accuracy is ‘unmatched’, each movement is detected, measured, analysed and commented to improve sportspeople’s performances.

The Run Profiler insoles also allow cyclists to adjust their bike’s settings to best suit their needs and objectives.

Run Profiler is a light and ergonomic insole which weighs 7.0g. Developed with podiatrists and biomechanics engineers, it ensures optimal comfort throughout the activity, maintains Digitsole. For hygiene, the insoles are made with an antibacterial fabric.

Digitsole is believed to be the first brand specialising in connected footwear. Created in 2014, the company’s goal is to reinvent footwear to make it smart and useful in every fields, be they sports, health, professional or daily activities. Digitsole invented the first auto-lacing Smartshoe and created the Warm series of connected heating insoles.
