Andy Pratt June 29, 2015 Industry News Mouser takes Coilcraft shielded power inductors on board Mouser Electronics is now stocking Coilcraft’s MLC75xx series of shielded power inductors. These inductors feature soft saturation characteristics, suiting them to voltage regulator module and voltage regulator down designs and other applications with occasional over-current requirements. With a low DC resistance of 1.2 mOhms, the inductors are said to have an excellent current handling of up to 59 A. Devices measure 7.0 x 7.5 mm, with a profile of 4.2 mm. There are seven inductance values ranging from 0.10 to 2.17 µH. The RoHS-compliant, halogen-free MLC75xx inductors have tin-silver (96.5/3.5) over copper terminations and can withstand a maximum reflow temperature of 260°C. Coilcraft uses proprietary materials and construction techniques to avoid thermal ageing issues associated with competing iron-powder-core inductors. The series is suited to various VRM/VRD applications, including power supplies and microprocessor power. http://www.mouser.com WEARTECHDESIGN.COM – Latest News/Advice on Technology for Wearable Devices Weartechdesign is unlike any other website currently serving the technology for wearable devices.
